Separation Rumour 031*

Topiary for hedges In the period from 1 March to 30 September, woody plants must be left alone because of the animals that seek shelter and breed in them. However, gentle pruning of hedges in summer is not only permitted but even recommended. With so-called topiary, only outgrown branches are corrected. This should be done by the end of September at the latest, otherwise frost damage may occur. The aim is that all parts of the hedge are reached by light and air to ensure strong new shoots in spring. Clear cut!
