It's Monday, 11:30. As good sports, 23 of 31 employees from the company Wolftechnik GmbH & Co.KG from Weil der Stadt attended the prevention course (pursuant to clause 20 of the German Social Security Code (SGBV)) in the neighbouring fitness and health club Fit Avenue. A qualified instructor was there for an hour improving the personal fitness of Wolftechnik employees. "A great thing", says Heidrun from bookkeeping. There are also words of praise from Torsten from engineering. "We are all very excited about the occupational health management (OHM) opportunities that we have here at Fit Avenue":
His success story started at his desk, when a visit to Wolftechnik by Nicola Paratalidis, OHM expert from the AOK Böblingen Sindelfingen gave him the impulse. During a consultation, the expert demonstrated the options that are covered by the health insurance company. Good that Wolftechnik has the gym as a neighbour, since it was a conversation with Fit Avenue owner Markus Kunzi that finally got the ball rolling. As a specialist in occupational health management, Mr Kunzi prepared the OHM offer, which was designed specifically for Wolftechnik employees. Another important factor is that Fit Avenue has the qualified staff that are required in accordance with clause 20b of the German Social Code (SGB).
Wolftechnik CEO Peter Krause explains the
goal of the campaign. "By using the OHM offer, we want to establish a
sustainable culture of health in our company". He went on to say that
ideally, promoting this would not only have a direct effect on sick leave, but
also on the productivity and competitiveness of every company, and job
satisfaction would also increase. "Because company success is based on
qualified and motivated employees!". And the boss is also involved!
