Lenticular Cartridge Filters
Lenticular filter cartridges
CLC lenticular filter cartridges consist of cellulose with special polymer binders, and are made in 16-cell modules ranging in size from 12" to 16" in diameter. Filtration results from the combined effect of purely mechanical screening of the medium on the one hand and binding of turbidity-causing substances by the diatomaceous earth contained in the filter on the other. Because they are so effective for reducing turbidity, CLC lenticular cartridge filters are suited for a vast range of applications, either to remove colloidal impurities or as prefilters to protect and ease the load on downstream fine filter cartridges.
Housings for CLC lenticular cartridges
WP housings for CLC lenticular cartridges are made of stainless steel 1.4571 or 1.4435. The sanitary versions are mirror polished on the inside and outside,. WP housings are available to accommodate between one and four CLC lenticular cartridges 12" or 16" in diameter. These filters are so popular mainly because of their large surface area and depth filtration. The 12" cartridges have a filter area of 1.8 sq.m and the 16" cartridges of 3.6 sq.m. This makes it possible to install a filter area of 14.4 sq.m in a single 16WP4 housing.
